These Mount Pleasant area notes highlight the access and route details that most often affect crew time, parking, loading distance, and quote accuracy.

Old Village

Old Village moves often need curb-space planning, careful handling in older homes, and realistic loading distance because streets and driveways can be tight.

Park West

Park West moves are often larger residential jobs where driveway access, upstairs bedrooms, and truck placement shape the crew plan.

Belle Hall moves may combine apartment, townhome, and single-family access, so parking location and stair or elevator details should be confirmed early.

Brickyard

Brickyard moves usually benefit from clear gate, driveway, and HOA instructions before the crew arrives.

Sullivan's Island

Sullivan's Island moves need bridge timing, beach-area parking awareness, and weather-conscious protection for furniture and boxes.

Isle of Palms

Isle of Palms moves require route timing, parking planning, and care around stairs, raised homes, and vacation-rental turnover windows.

Wando

Wando-area moves may include longer drive times, larger homes, and rural or semi-rural access that should be factored into the quote.

I used Mako Movers On August 9th to move from Summerville South Carolina to Seabrook Island South Carolina. They were just great and I would recommend them to anyone who is about to move. Anything I ask them to do, which included extra packing when they came, was done efficiently and cheerfully. They worked so hard on such a very very hot day. Besides being so accommodating they were relatively inexpensive. I had gotten other estimates and they were the lowest and when all was done it cost me( excluding tips( very close to their estimate. Again, Mako Movers turned out to be an excellent choice.

If you’re looking for professional movers that are not going to cut any corners and wrap all of your furniture top to the bottom as well as the best price, then look no further than Mako movers. Josh, the owner is phenomenal and his workers are true professionals and experts at their craft. I just cannot say enough great things about the crew. Punctual, absolutely zero damage, extremely nice and kind, and the best price that’s almost too good to be true. A +++ across the board.

Working with Mako was the best moving experience my husband and I have ever had. We had our 5 bedroom house moved from SC to DC, with the same crew at load in and load out. Josh (owner) is a pleasure to work with and offers very fair and transparent pricing. His team of movers are kind and professional and used great care in handling our belongings. They were even understanding when my move in date suddenly changed! Highly recommend Mako Movers!

Josh and his team at Mako Movers were professional, punctual and responsive to our questions and needs concerning our local move in July 2024. The team of four that came on moving day was pleasant to work with. We had an inexpensive piece of furniture damaged in the move, and Josh compensated us for the damage. He had some email account issues that slowed communications for a while, but we were able to connect and resolve the issue. I will call Mako Movers again for my next move- thanks, Josh, for your efforts!

We recently moved a 4 bedroom house long distance, and after a wide search for a competent moving team in the planning phase, we elected to go with Mako Movers. We are so glad we did! Josh came out to the house soon after I made the initial contact and did a general inventory of our things. His estimate for timing and truck needs was spot on. The price we were given was also a flat fee, not hourly, and 30% less than other area movers who had estimated we needed another day and larger trucks. We’ve done 7 moves now in 13 years (3 of which have been long distance), and Mako has by far been the easiest to work with, with the kindest and most attentive crew, and best of all, no damage to either house! We were completely blown away by how efficiently and quietly (no big drops/crashes of items) they handled our things, and all but a single small ceramic garden pot made it the 800 miles unscathed. I highly recommend Mako for your moving needs. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Given the excellent service we received, I’m not sure what we would have gotten for multiple thousands more by going with one of the other highly rated area companies.

We recently called Mako Movers for a recent home moved. I was very impressed with their responsiveness, professionalism, and knowledge. Though we did not go with them, they assisted us through the quote process and remained professional throughout the process, even afterwards. If the need ever arises again, I will certainly be reaching out to Mako Movers. Thank you for a great experience!

I used Mako Movers for a move in January 2024. The entire experience was excellent. I did not have a positive experience with my last move, so working with Mako Movers was such a relief. I received a moving quote the day I called. Movers arrived on time and did an excellent job. The mover in charge made sure that the process was handled in an efficient manner and kept everything on schedule. Everything arrived to my new home and was moved in without any damage. I was very pleased with everything and would highly recommend Mako Movers.

I contacted Mako Movers recently when I was in need of a service to help me move my entire house from Florida to Georgia. They were very professional and very caring with my belongings. I've used other moving companies before and have had to wait a week or two for my things to arrive at my new home. But with Mako Movers that wasn't the case. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.
